Do you ever wonder why some people, no matter how unlucky they are in life, still hope for a better future? If you will ask them, it's because they have faith, and as long as you believe in it, there is still a chance to make things possible. I actually don't believe in faith because of the same reason that "Neo" from the movie "Matrix" said when "Morpheus" asked if "Neo" believes in faith. He said no because he doesn't like the idea that he's not in control of his life. Let's just say I'm more of a realist. I see things as they are. Nothing more, nothing less. If I know there's a chance, I'll take the risk, but if not, why bother.

But then when we talk about Christian Faith, we all get the same idea and the same belief. That Jesus Christ is among us. Watching us every single day and praying for us. Our faith is telling us that soon, he will have his second coming, or what is called "Parousia" (it was once the name of our band actually). I am not a Christian, but that doesn't mean I don't believe or respect what they do. In fact, there was this one time back in college when the president of our organization (she's a devoted Christian) invited us to come with her to their church. First thing I imagined was there will be singing and dancing and screaming "Hallelujah Jesus!!!" everytime the pastor say something good about Jesus. Even though I was not used to seeing that in the Catholic church, I have to admit, I really had a great time at a Christian church. One thing I noticed that time was that when there is a guest in their house of worship, all of the people in that church will come to you one by one and welcome you with open arms. That was something new to me but then I truly appreciate it because I never felt that when I'm in my church. I actually went back to their church the second time because for me, there was never a dull moment when you're their.

Another means of spreading the word of Christians is by music. Have you listen to the music of a Chrisitian song? Fine, some of them are actually boring since all you hear in the lyrics are God, Jesus, faith, believe, and the list goes on and on. But then there are those that are worth listening because the lyrics are so good for being so real. I'm talking about the music of bands such as "Switchfoot", "Jars of Clay", and well, this one is kinda like the first one I mentioned, but still they make music so good. I'm talking about "Hill Song". Whether it's the first or the second generation, they both have good Christian music. If you don't want to go to their church, you can just listen to these artists and you can feel the faith that they want you to have.

I guess Christianity is all around us. We may not know it but in some way, we are a part of it. All we need to do is believe.
